My journey takes its first steps in Sydney, Australia.
Starting out in the family business, built by my grandfather and grandmother, Dennis and Sabina Wolanski. Continued by my father.
Dennis, a sculptor and entrepreneur.
Sabina an elegant inspiration and trail blazer.
However, my internal desire to create and work with my hands was too insatiable. Eventually leading me to take the difficult decision to step out of the family business, return to university and pursue industrial design.
During my studies I discovered the world of foundries. I began work in a lost-wax art foundry. Building sculptures, honing my craft and working with great mentors and artists.
This blend of my property-economics studies and the family business, while getting my hands dirty in the foundry, interacting with materials, processes, textures and artists, all the while being submerged in the more functional process of industrial design, laid invaluable foundations. Foundations from which I use to continue to grow and question the world and the objects that surround us.
After working in the foundry, I began working in the design studios of Trent Jansen, Henry Wilson and Vladimir Slavov.
This lead me to my next adventure, when in 2024, I launched my own studio from the foreign landscape of Brussels, where I currently reside and work, with my partner Zoé.
